Founded by Thomas Phillips, Strut and Sniff is rooted in over 20 years of expertise in operations, real estate, and leadership. Thomas has leveraged his strong foundation in building high-performing teams and quality control systems to craft a trusted, pet-centered business.

Growing up on one of South Texas' largest working cattle ranches, Thomas developed a deep bond with animals from an early age. His livestock show experiences—including earning the title of Reserve Overall Grand Champion at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo—instilled discipline, compassion, and care, values that now guide Strut and Sniff’s ethos.

At home, Thomas is privileged to share his life with Tuckr, a spirited Toy Australian Shepherd, and Violet, a charming dilute tortie cat. They bring daily inspiration and warmth, helping shape the attentive, affectionate care we extend to every pet.

• You’ll enjoy consistent care from a designated primary sitter, with a backup introduced in advance for added reliability.

• If you're nearby but unsure whether you’re in our area, just let us know—we’re always willing to stretch a little further when we can!
   

• Cancellations and reschedules are free with at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations incur the standard fee.
   
• We remain dedicated rain or shine—rain, snow, or heat won’t stop our walks, unless safety concerns arise (e.g., lightning). In those situations, we’ll adjust or refund as needed.
   

Thomas is deeply committed to giving back — currently organizing the Little Pink Dress Run, a 5K benefiting breast cancer research and homeless youth, and a lifetime volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, reflecting the same spirit of service that underpins Strut and Sniff.
